Discuss and resolve questions on Liquid, JavaScript, themes, sales channels, and site speed enhancements.
Hi everyone,
My website has slowed down considerably over the past 6 months. The speed now often falls below 50. I recently deleted some apps and resized photos but it is still slow.
Can anyone please take a look at my store and suggest how I can improve the speed?
Many thanks

Hey there -
Pagespeed numbers can be a real thorn in your side. We have hundreds of merchants reach out every year looking for help with their pagespeed scores. They've been told they are bad.
It means nothing to your business or any business really. It is just a reference point.
The real numbers you need to look at are your core metrics:
Those are what shoppers feel and Google judges your store on. It is what causes the shoppers to actually bounce. It is the same metrics Shopify apps are judged on when we go through our review process.
What have you done over the past 6 months? What changes have you made that have been associated with drops?
You can remove an app; however, the code can still be left.
Shopify does A LOT of image manipulation for you when you upload an image. There is some wins that can happen there; however, Shopify is doing a lot of the heavy lifting to begin with.
Without getting under the hood and taking a look around, it is really hard to give a definitive recommendation on what to do.

I'm examining your site from the Google Console section using the link you provided, just like our own customers, and writing down some things for you. Maybe you'll find it helpful!
Other than that, expecting top-notch speed from Shopify's shared servers might be a bit challenging.
Hi @Photofund1
You can follow the below steps to improve store speed
- Removed Unused CSS & JS
- Removed Duplicate CSS & JS
- Minified CSS & JS
- Reduced Requests for the website
- Reduced Page Size of the website
- Implement Lazyload functionality for images
Or you can hire a developer to do this for you.
We also provide Shopify speed optimization service, you can check it here: https://www.huptechweb.com/shopify-speed-optimization-service/
Thank you.
