Why is the Shopify Admin having such a slow response time?

I am not sure what Shopify has done but everything has went downhill since that last update. Filtering products is so slow and if you scroll down a filtered list, the system shows a blank screen until it can catch up and then populates. The system even has issues with the checkboxes, I can go down a list and select 4 or more products and literally take my hands off the mouse on my laptop and have to wait for the system to populate those selected boxes. This is how slow this system is going? There are more issues but they pretty much are al related to the speed of the Admin Side. Luckily this speed issue hasn't affected the actual website. Has anyone else had these same issues? If so, please comment because Shopify seems to think that this is an issue with my laptop and of course, never an issue with their software.
