Hello,
we had the same problem in our store and I found out in another thread what was causing this problem. It was due to a Preorder App that we had already uninstalled but still left some files in the snippets folder, the files start with "spurit_po2_", we deleted all of them and now the button loads normally.
Hope this helps.
Hey there, @asperalife. Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community today with your question regarding your theme and your 'add to cart' button! I'm happy to look into things with you and see what we can discover.
I loaded up your store (thank you for providing the link, by the way!), and navigated to one of your product pages. From there, I clicked on 'add to cart', and no delay appeared to happen. A small pop-up appeared asking me if I wanted to navigate to the cart page, which I did. This process was pretty quick, and not out of the realm of expectation for visiting stores. So, things looked good for me here, but I'm still curious as to why things may be delayed for you.
I have a few questions I'd like to ask:
I'll keep my eyes peeled for your reply, as well as the answers to the above questions. Once I have that information, we can do a bit of a deeper dive into what may be happening here.

I have gone through your product pages. and your add to cart button is working fine.
Unsure of which section it is
Hi,
This button takes a little time on all Shopify stores, because it is Ajax (it remake / edit / or destroy the content written on cart/pages). This always take a little time, but it's the best technology to do that both ways available right now - JS & simplicity stack wise.
Reducing add to cart delay would be very hard to do (especially in a monorailed paas like Shopify).
You can have a look at how Shopify works at engineering blog (https://shopify.engineering/)
Have a nice day,
Hi there,
I definitely notice the delay. Your page load time is pretty long - looking at the requests, these two files are taking the longest time:
This script (presumably from an app you have installed):
https://servicify-appointments.herokuapp.com/public/frontend-v1.0.0.js
This script took 1-2s to load on its own. That's rough.
This image (just looking at the home page):
The image alone is 1.5MB. This is huge for the web - you should resize and compress it using an online tool or program like Photoshop. You should be able to get it down below 200kb (1/6 the size).
Aside from those two noticeable requests, it also seems like your site is just loading a lot of things, which is always going to slow it down. Whether that's images, or plugins/scripts/apps, there seems to be a lot happening.
If you want to investigate a little yourself, open the site in Chrome and press F12 to open the Developer Tools. From here, click the Network tab, then refresh the page. You'll see every file that's getting loaded on the page and can look at what they are individually, see how long they take to load etc.
Hope this helps!
Well this times are usually slower than any ecommerce software, It's also easy to compare from USA, times are usually way up in EU. Salesforces / Demandware is a slower like hell lol.
Have fun with Shopify,
Hi, we talk and design subpar 1 second design. In general what we do is below 1 sec for all processes (and a goal). Have fun with Shopify,

Thank you, it worked for us!!
What worked for you?
This worked for us too! We removed the old "spurit_po2" files - and now the ATC button loads much faster. Thanks Oscar.
Hey there, @tonydavis. Thanks for following up on this older thread!
Happy to hear that @OscarRubio's solution did the trick for you! I've gone ahead and marked it as a solution for this thread, just to make it easier for other users in the future to determine a potential solution for their ATC delay issues. Thanks for following up with the thread!
