Hello,

 

My buy it now button is not appearing. I have the dynamic checkout button checked as well. Anyone able to assist? ThanksPicture1.png

If you successfully enabled your Buy Button and it is still not showing, then you likely need to update your theme or edit your theme code. Before we continue troubleshooting, I'd like to ensure that you have added the dynamic button correctly:

Hello!

 

The theme is currently updated and I also have the dynamic checkout button on. I have edited the code in certain places but am unsure if anything has affected the buy it now button.

 

When I enable dynamic, it creates a space for the button but nothing comes up.

 

Mind if I direct message you the store so you can check it out? Thanks in advance for the help!

Thank you for providing that additional context. 

 

I understand that when enabling your button, a blank space is created. Have you tried testing the product page via an incognito browser or different device? This could possibly be a local issue that is preventing you from seeing the button. 

 

If you are still not having luck, then there could be another underlying issue like your themes compatibility. There are a few cases where dynamic checkout buttons might not be suitable for your online store if they are not compatible with certain apps, payment settings, products, etc. Feel free to check out our Help Center document to learn more.

In the meantime, you will want to ensure that you have enabled the Buy Button like so:

If you are still running into issues, are you able to confirm whether or not you made any changes to your stores prior to these issues occurring? For instance, changes with Apps, Cart attributes, Products, Payment settings, or Button text? We have a compatibility guide that covers this in more detail.

The issue i am facing is that I don't see DYNAMIC BUY BUTTON on any of the Product page. I can see the DYNAMIC BUY BUTTON while i am customsing the website but not on the live website as a guest. The dynamic buy button is turned in the settings. 

 

I was actually adding some code to theme.liquid which i immediately reverted. The same day i started experiencing this issue. I am not sure if that caused it or some other reason as i also installed some apps that day. 

 

I can see that the product page there is a space being left where the button should appear. I feel the button is getting hidden due to some reason. I am attaching some screenshots for reference. 

 

Please let me know if you can suggest any solution to this.

Just to add...The dynamic buy option is working fine on the CHECKOUT page i.e. i see Paypal and other dynamic checkout options at the time of checkout. But it's just the PROCDUCT PAGES where this problem is.

Sure thing! I'm not a developer, so hope this is the right image. Note: when I check the dynamic button, it adds "buy it now" in addition to the other button.

I have a lot more questions, Dirk 🙂

1. Can my mobile site have a different arrangement of content blocks than desktop? Can I hide certain content blocks from mobile? 

2. I have formatting (text size and padding and spacging) issues all over the place. Would love some guidance. 

3. One of my videos in slider doesn't have sound on as a default, and we want that one to autoplay with sound. 

3. We would like to use one video as popup on home page - is there an easy way to do that?

We have a guide here that goes over the ways you can add dynamic checkout buttons. From there, you can take a screenshot from the payments settings in your admin. 

I'm not formally trained in code to provide you with an exact solution to make specific coding adjustments to create a desktop vs mobile version of the site. As well as adjusting video autoplay with sound and a pop up function. However, I'm confident one of our Shopify experts would be able to accomplish these tasks at a reasonable price.
 
Just wanted to share this as an option in case you are unable to find a coding solution in your thread.

After taking a closer look, it seems I was able to add products to the cart without issues. To clarify, are you looking for the 'add to cart' button to be highlighted when hovering over it? If so, could you please share what theme you're currently using?

I also have this problem after changing button color schemes on the Dawn theme. I used the UI scheme manager and have not touched any code. I see the buy now button in the designer but an empty space on the live viewing. The problem seems to happen on Chrome only.

 

The button appears with a random payment choice after 1 second when viewing on Safari and Edge.

Hey everyone,

am busy building my store and I am having the same issue. There is an "invisible" buy button and it takes me to the checkout page BUT I can't customize it and you only find it when you hover over it with the mouse:

Dynamic checkout buttons is enabled. If I uncheck the box the "invisible" button disappears. I also went here to change the name but nothing happens.

Do I have to install a "buy button" from the app store? I am just not sure where to paste the HTML code?

completely lost at the moment. Hope someone found a solution.

Hey everyone,

 

i am facing the same problem right now. I am optimizing my store from scratch and made a second theme in order to leave my store open for everyone.

In the customize section i can see the "Buy it now" Button but when i am on the Website i can't see it but a blank space where the button should be.
As it appears at both Themes and i am only changing things at one theme, i am safe to say it has nothing to do with the Theme.
Also i tested it on my Laptop aswell as on my Computer.

Shopify please Help!

PS: Shopify please fix the Amex Logo for the Footer Section 😄

Thank you for joining the conversation. I'd be happy to troubleshoot this with you. Can you please share a link to your store so I can have a closer look at where the Buy Button should be? Can you also please confirm what theme you are using on your store?

 

The simplest answer in these situations is that the buy button is not appearing due to a theme color option making the button and the text the same color as the website background. That would be the first thing I would look at on your end. 

 

In regards to the AMEX logo, can you share the issue you are seeing with it?

Hey there,

 

So at first I want to let you know, that the issue is fixed (by itself) I did not change anything and it appeared again so I think it is a problem on Shopifys backend. Of course the color is black and the background is white so there is not an issue with that. If you want to know what I have done so far to try and fix it, here is my recent troubleshooting post Community Post.

 

Also here is a Screenshot of the Amex Payment Logo Problem. I tried checking if the problem is caused by my device or IP but it is not.
I think the problem is caused by Shopify as you can view it bugged like that in the Shopify payment logo settings from the Dashboard.

Edit: I just checked and I think Amex updated theyre logo so its supposed to look like that... but I like the old one better where you could see the whole text.
