Why won't my new product collection appear on my site?

I have created new collections with products but when I attempt to add the collection to my site it doesn't show up in the drop down to be added.

It sounds like you created automated collections. Automated collections use selection conditions to automatically add matching products to your collections. Since the process of adding products to them are automated, you aren't able to manually add products to them, so they don't appear on the list of collections under the Product organization section in the product pages within the admin.

If you would like to be able to add products to your collections manually and select your collections on the dropdown menu found in the Product organizations > Collections area on your product page, you'll need to create manual collections.

If you would like to stick to your automated collections, you can ensure that your products match the conditions you've added to your collections so the system can add them. You may refer to the guides on this page to know more about how automated collections work.
