Why won't my website open in certain countries?

Hello! I am from Canada, but am traveling Mexico. I'm experiencing a problem where my website (SpiritCasa.com) will not open in Mexico unless I use a VPN to access it. This poses a problem, because we ship worldwide, but now I don't know what countries even have the ability to visit the site.

Hi @ErinHanifen ,
This is Theodore from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.

The issue with your Shopify store (SpiritCasa.com) being inaccessible in Mexico (except through a VPN) could be due to several factors. Here's how to troubleshoot and potentially resolve it:

  • Shopify Geolocation Apps: Check if you have any Shopify apps installed that restrict access based on geographical location. These might be apps related to shipping, currency, or compliance. Disable any such apps temporarily to see if they're causing the issue.

  • Shopify Admin Settings: Review your Shopify admin settings to see if there are any accidental geo-restrictions enabled. Look for options related to "Markets" or "Sales Channels."

Best regards,

I needed to add to my market. I didn't realize I didn't have all countries selected in "international". So now I am able to view it in Mexico! However, my friend in Canada still can not open the site.. I even made sure the "primary market" was set to Canada, but still not working.

Hi there, @ErinHanifen. Thanks for following up! Are you able to provide us with information on what your friend in Canada sees when trying to open the site? The more information you can share with us, the better we can determine what the issue may be.

Additionally, you can reach out to our Authenticated Support Team via our AI Assistant so we can get you connected with one of our advisors. They'll be able to access your store in real-time, and discuss the situation with our Escalated Teams if required.

Hi, please I need your assistance. My store eaglesluxury.com has refused to open in some countries. I asked a few of my folks in Nigeria to open it but none of them could. I have activated my international market, even installed shipbob as instructed while I was chatting on shopify live support but it still can not open. Please what can I do to resolve this issue?
