Tried contacting shopify support, and their answer is always, " load Google chrome, Safari is known to have issues."
I've been using Safari for our site and all of our devices work using Safari, is it too hard to ask Shopify to support Safari? or am I asking too much?
Hey @Terrawagen.
Thanks for reaching out.
I appreciate the feedback that you have shared with us, I will pass this forward to our internal teams and let them know that you have been noticing issues with your online store using the Safari browser. With that being said, did you happen to clear the cache from your Safari browser and attempt to navigate to your online store or Shopify admin?
In some cases, this can clear up mirror issues that you may experience on the online store or within the admin on all browsers.
Let me know if that does the trick.

Yup, all the usual browser corrections including clearing cookies, cache, restarting etc. had an hour long session with Shopify where they say they want to help but keep steering me towards Chrome.
as part of their troubleshooting process I did load Chrome and yes it works. There must be other Safari users out there.
I am having the same issue as a Safari user and it is really frustrating. Has been happening for weeks now
I'm experiencing an issue when I go to "Products" in my Shopify admin, with Safari it is so slow its unusable, no problems with Chrome. Tried clearing cache and cookies, no difference.
Same issue here! My website doesn't load at all on Safari browser but works fine on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and even mobile IOS Safari. Any ideas on how to fix?

Shopify still has not responded to me for months now. I run our site on Safari, but if I want to add or modify any products I have to open Chrome. Still an open issue...
Patiently waiting for them to figure it out.

This is happening again on ios 16 beta now, the product page is basically not working , it lags, very slow, reloads into black screen and so many issues.
Dear @Ollie,
We are experiencing the same issue, it's impossible to load the page of our store: loumiyou.be (not in admin mode) via safari. This can impact our sales since many of our clients have iOS.
When could we expect a fix?
Best regards.
Hey @TatianaDeTheux.

In this case, I would suggest reaching out to our live support to have a further look into the abandoned carts that you may be receiving. This will allow us to gather additional context and investigate why specific customers are unable to successfully load into your online store. You can reach out to our live support by logging into your online store using the Contact Us page. This will allow us to securely verify you as the store owner.
Once you successfully login, or select the option to Continue without logging in - you will be directed to the Help Center. Select the topic that you would like assistance with to locate the options to Get Support and speak with a Support Advisor about the situation.

That isn't helpful at all as ALL Shopify support team members simply say "Use Chrome instead". Completely frustrating and utterly useless when the majority of our users and clients are ON APPLE PRODUCTS USING SAFARI and our entire company is the same.
Hi Ollie,
I think is a redundant request as we did all this six months ago and shopify could still not fix anything, telling people to delete there cookies and cache achieves nothing and does not help, and your "support team" came up with nothing no matter how much info we have given you and told us that they dont know what the answer is but in reality the obvious answer is safari (and some other search engines) on mobile devices simply does not now work on our shopify site and many others yet with google chrome it works fine.
The only real question is who is at fault is it shopify or safari (and others), it would be good if shopify could come up with an actual fix or at the very least be open to customers and tell them that they cannot fix the issue so we can inform our customers and stop losing sales.
it is beyond ridiculous that Shopify refuses to rectify this problem. Our company uses all Apple products and this is causing us to start looking into other platforms to move our business to
