Hello,
I see I have the option to change myshopify.com domain. If I change it, will it affect any installed apps or consumer-facing site?
Please note I'm not changing the URL/domain the consumer goes to, it's just the myshopify.com domain. During site development, we had it set as "storename-production.myshopify.com" and I'd like it to reflect the actual store name in use, so something like "storename.myshopify.com." We went live before changing this and I just want to be sure there's no impact to any installed apps, customer experience, or to the consumer-facing site.
Please advise and let me know your thoughts.
All the best.
Hi there,
Yes you can do this, but there is absolutely 0 reason to do this. The only place this store URL will show up is on some places in the code. Other than your normal domain is facing the customer.
Hope this helps!
