Hi, I have a question...
I have activated email sign-ups for a discount promotion for new subscribers.
however, i also want a pop up, so I am thinking of integrating an app to do this
However, if I download an app for my Shopify store, will it collect customers' emails twice?
For instance, if a customer signs up using the sign-up in the footer and then also signs up using the pop-up from an app such as privvy, will they receive two discount codes to their emails and two emails?
If so, how can I integrate this, so this does not happen

Shopify saves all customer data in their database, and if the customer has accepted marketing emails they will be stored with an attribute of "accepts_marketing". So the customer emails will be collected once and stored in the same location however if you have different email campaign integrations on your store, then the emails will be sent by each one if they are configured to trigger when new sign-ups happen.
You could consider using a customizable solution that allow you to send automated custom emails with the discount once a new customer signs up. Please let me know if you'd like to explore this further, I can share more details.
