Dear Technicians,
I have a rare situation. My shop is in one country, no other countries. I have enabled 'address validation'.
This means that I cannot fill in another address than this country.
As I am using Apple, Apple knows the address, I don't live in the specific country. I used this option to fill in an address, which another country, somehow the shopify accepts this.
Then the problem starts: There is a popup as you can see in the print screen. This leads back to the store. When I try to check out again, the address is remembered, and therefore the popup appears again, leads me to the store and I cannot check out: I am in a loop, a rare bug.
The solution is easy, I believe. If Shopify shows the popup for filling in the wrong address, the address fields should be emptied. Then you break the loop, I can get back to the store, check out and fill in the address, in the empty fields.
Even after 24 hours, the website still remembers the fields and still I cannot check out. Back into the loop.
I hear you saying: turn off 'address validation'. No, I don't want that. Thats too easy. Thats not solving the problem. That is chaning the problem and creating more problems long term.
The Shopify service team suggested to turn off the cookie for remembering the address, maybe it takes a few hours to update, or maybe I have to empty my cookies to let it work. For now there is no improvement.
Last; I cannot run a test and buy something in my own shop because of this loop.
