Liquid, JavaScript, Themes
Hey,
I already have created a support Issue but still not get the right help. Maybe some of you guys knows this Problem.
Theme: Debut
I can't remove the last logo/link from the social link in the footer. The Logo looks like a Wifi Icon.
I have deactivated and reactivated all apps but the logo does not disappear. I can not find the origin.
https://baanhada.com/blogs/giveaway/geschenk
You can find the Icon/Link only in the blogs sections.
If you click the Icon you got forwarded to https://baanhada.com/blogs/giveaway.atom and then you got a html format code.
I have deleted also the blogs and created it new but it doesn't disappear.
Hope you can help me 🙂
Cheers
Gelöst! Zur Lösung
Erfolg.

You have reached the German community here und wir können das gerne auf Deutsch besprechen, but English is fine too!
Thanks for the link and when in there I could only see your FB and IG social media buttons and couldn't find the logo in question as you can see below. Is the issue solved, and if yes, what was causing this?
If not, the .atom link is for an RSS Feed and usually has this symbol: . Is that the Symbol that was showing? I couldn't extract that from your description. Blogs and news sites can be "fed" into other websites using something called Really Simple Syndication. Or "RSS" for short. Shopify automatically produces an RSS feed for every blog that you create, so customers can subscribe to it and receive notifications when you publish a new post (see more on that here). The feed URL is the URL of the blog page with .atom appended.
For example, http://store.myshopify.com/blogs/blogname.atom. Customers who want to subscribe to your blog can paste the feed URL into a feed reader. For more information on what is RSS, click here.
Simply put, RSS uses plain text to describe information about the blog post such as title, and content, so that it can be read into a News Reader which will format how the information works. You may see an RSS icon on the blog and article pages of the theme.
Clicking on it will take you to the .atom feed that Shopify uses. It's like an modified RSS feed, but they work the same way. When you click on the icon you end up seeing something like this block of code if you don't have a reader built in:
This is just the raw formatting news readers use to know what's new in the feed. Since the browser doesn't have any formatting information, it will make the blog feed.
You should be able to find the code for the RSS Feed in your Footer.liquid and it can be commented out if need be:
Please consult an expert before you make any code changes and don't forget to run any code changes first in a copy of your live theme. Do you know how to do that?
