You're getting some great insights here. I read through all the comments to see whether anyone else touched on this, but none have. Frankly, I can't believe it, because it was the first thing that jumped out at me, which makes me think you have changed things around since people started commenting.
I'm not a marketing guru, but I am a video/photography guy, and your hero image is bloody awful. I don't want to mince words and play nicey-nice because I think that would do you a disservice. Your image is really not good. It makes your site look very home-made.
I'm referring to this image:
1. The color is way oversaturated. The problem with this is that it can look great on one screen (yours) and look terrible on another (mine). Desaturated images look better across screens that display color differently (which all do). On my monitor, everyone looks super orange.
2. Vibe: One person in that image looks happy, and it's the young woman. Even she doesn't look thrilled. The dad looks like he's trying to force a smile, and not one of the kids looks happy to be there. In fact, only one of them is even looking at the camera. Your product (to me) denotes goofy family fun, and your models should be having goofy family fun.
3. Product visibility - two of the kids' t-shirt designs aren't even visible.
4. Background - your bright white background makes the white of the shirts look dingy by comparison. It looks like they've been washed a few too many times. By contrast, a different color will set off white of the t-shirts and give them a crisp, new feel (whitening the t-shirts in Photoshop won't help, because then they will blend in with the background too much). Alternately, if you offer other colors, you might try photographing the models in those against a white bg.
This image is the very first impression people will get of your product and your company. In my view, it's in dire need of a do-over. Get a professional to photograph this for you. I'm assuming the models in the image are you and your family - if so, why not hire a great local kids photographer to really create great images?
Again, I'm trying to be blunt in the interest of clarity. When I first read about your product, I thought "that's a good idea." But you really can't have a crappy hero image, and as of this moment you do. Fix that!
Best of luck!

I want to add my voice to the chorus: not having a return label option is patently ridiculous. It's been 10 months since the initial reply to this post. You folks really need to make this happen.

I simply want to remove the "search" icon from the upper-right corner of a store using the Boundless theme.
I've seen some discussion on other themes, but no current advice specifically for the boundless theme.
