I am currently in the same boat as you, was a solution that actually worked ever found for this?

It keeps adding it to the base price of the product, i have attached a screenshot for you to see what happens when it goes in to the cart

I now see them, thank you. When a customer adds 0.5m to the box it calculates correctly on the product page but as soon as it is added to the cart the price is for a full meter.
