You guys have been saying the same vague nonsense for well over 2yrs now. Why do you think that is an acceptable response? Why do you feel that this important issue should be continually avoided by Shopify?
This is an incredibly lame response. What you're really saying is that this hasn't been run up the food chain, it hasn't been investigated and there is no plan to. This is nearly 2yrs of thumb twiddling, navel gazing and butt-picking by Shopify... Wh...
Are you hoping to build an app, or something? If so, it's moot, as Shopify will still penalize users with the 2% surcharge and/or currency exchange fees.....
I was somewhat tongue-in-cheek......However, Shopify is seriously asking for a huge lawsuit just by how they are handling payout, illegally using tied selling as the sledgehammer.......That being said...There's no way that it's that big of a job to a...
How long does Shopify plan to continue avoiding this issue? It's only been an issue for years now and only needs a 2-3 day fix by a competent developer. What's the problem here? What's it going to finally take to fix this?Do we all need to launch a c...
So, in other words, Shopify really doesn't have multicurrency payouts, unless the store owners pays all the monetary benefits of the multi-currency payouts back to Shopify, which really just moots the point.
Even Paypal have been absolute bastards about multi-currency. They have not only made it difficult, but their phone support has totally gone in the toilet. Plus, they keep mumbling nonsense about anti-money laundering, which is patently ridiculous.  ...
"In other words, I just want to accept payments that will payout in the same currency as accepted. (Only USD and CAD)" Hi NA- I've been trying to do the exact same thing myself & haven't got a satisfactory solution from Shopify. I have to either; acc...
NorthAmerican - If Shopify still charges a 2% sales processing fee even if you use another payments provider, it is illegal. In Canada it falls under this part of the competition act:Exclusive dealing, tied selling, and market restriction occur when ...
In real life, it doesn't work that way with PP. They (supposedly) have their system setup to do that, then immediately refuse to do it as soon as you try to receive payouts in other currencies. There was a workaround that did work for a bit, then the...
From what I understand, you can only use either Shopify pymnts, or a 3rd party payment handler. However, Shopify still charges a 2% sales fee, even if you use a 3rd party(which also charges their own processing fees). This practice is actually illega...
This is not an acceptable response. All the platforms engage in this type of behavior, where they keep focusing on minor useless frills and ignore the meat and potatoes fixes that store owners need. There is no reason for this change to not be in pla...
Why hasn't this been implemented? This is an easy fix and would only take 1-2 days of development at the absolute outside. People have been asking fo rthis for years now & still nothing. We pay a lot of money each month for this platform & stuff like...
Hi all-I sell and ship a few different lines of products to Continental North America. There is a bit of complexity in our shipping as we have flat rate shipping up to a certain order value & the flat rate and order value(for free shipping) varies dep...
