Hello, i want to request this feature also as it's very much needed and i was waiting for Shopify to implement it from some time now but it doesn't seem that will ever happen unfortunately which is a shame really... 2023 and still nothing.

Thank you for sharing this, i was implementing the same functionality and your code helped me fix my theme.
i had the same problem with the missing Dark Mode in the latest code editor, the extension is amazing since it still have the colored levels, thanks a lot for sharing it.
