I simply want to create a new block, very similar to the featured blogs block, but use tags to filter what shows

Hi, Wondering if anyone can help me edit the standard blog section to include a field to enter tags that the articles are then filtered by? E.g. Blog is set to 'News' Include articles tagged with 'News' and 'Sport' Thanks in advance
