Still no good solution to this yet. Agree that it's completely ridiculous and an absolutely basic requirement for most stores. So far, I've had to create alternative product pages for my products without a compare are price, and have discounts linked...

I know it's been a year since this was posted, but has anyone found a solution to this? We are dealing wtih the same issue on our shop.
