Shopify gave us "Third party" apps to fix this. But forgot these third party apps aren't for the check-out. And thus need to be choosen in the cart which we have custom build.Still pretty mad on Shopify that they've changed this so badly.

I think its more worrying that Shopify removes such feature without notice. And now is hiding behind a solution to hire a developer. Why should you invest more money into custom solutions if Shopify can just pull the plug without notice again.
