I had a similar issue, except i was missing over 10k from shopify. I had to hire an attorney to get my money. 

Unfortunately it happens every year, but shopifys extension was denied this year so you can report them to the irs so they get fined! Give them a call

Anyone else being told they need to pay their unpaid balance to get access to their 1099-k? Ive been told this is illegal, and apparently im not the only one shopify is trying to do this to. Has anyone found a work around to get their required tax do...

Awesome. They did this last year and I didn’t have it until March! This shouldn’t even be legal to withhold 1099s. 

They aren’t planning on sending it. They filed an extension. Which shouldn’t even be legal. 

Does anyone know if our 1099s are late again? Last year I didn’t get mine until end of Feb and I’m really hoping it’s not the same issue this year where they get extensions. Didn’t even know it was legal to do that!
