Damn this worked for us! After 3 days of fiddling with other settings etc. Strange we never had to touch the 'markets' menu setting before. Maybe it went inactive after we changed some items.
True but it's an issue when you have over 300 products in a particular collection that suddenly you need to either shift menu, re-classify, merge or modify - and then you need to bulk edit all the tags...
