Figured it out; compression from SVG. PNG file type fixed it just in case if anyone else runs into this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Still no luck in figuring this out

IT WORKS! Thank you so much! That makes so much sense in regards to the if statement not executing. I'll try to keep things like that in mind as I move forward.
