GREAT read & info!! Thank you for sharing!! I’ve had my shopify store for 3-4 years now, & have gone thru MANY changes, as well as ups and downs. (In a “down” position as we speak). I have no idea what I’m doing, still- even after 3 years of this! I’ve previously hired experts and help via Upwork, etc. It’s been a slow & painful journey, especially now- due to the last chick we hired basically jacking up my entire site & Store- leaving us to fend for ourselves. It’s been a nightmare, but has also MADE me sit down and learn this stuff myself! I’ve always focused my energy towards my insane FB VIP Group of 11k members/customers, so I haven’t had time to really get in here and learn it all. So it’s been difficult juggling the Group, which at this point is also dwindling, due to the time away I’m having to spend learning and figuring stuff out solo! I do ALOT (like 90%) of my work, product updates, etc on my iPhone XS Max, via the Shopify App itself. Is there a way to add/change the Variants photos in their App? Or does it HAVE to be done via desktop? It sure would help tremendously if Shopify would update their App more often, adding more features for us “mobilers” to stay up to date too! WHY OH WHY can't Shopify have an option for us to save our sold out products in a separate section or collection? AND- WHY won't Shopify allow us to choose how we view our main product list?? ex: Not JUST alphabetically, but by newest to oldest?!
I am the sole owner/operator of DreamLeggings.com and I carry over 300+ different prints, in several different sizes....
These prints/sizes change daily... I may or may not carry that print again. So... When I sell out of, for example: Regular size "Paisley Pop" print Capri's, instead of having to either delete the entire product post (which is a huge ordeal, as I handwrite long and personalized descriptions under every single print!) or change the product title to "ZZ-OOS-Paisley Pop-Capri", (OOS=Out of Stock) so it wont be GONE FOREVER, but will simply be moved down to the bottom of my product list. (Since Shopify doesn't allow us to choose how we view our products! Grrrr....)
So I sell out of the "Paisley Pop", and 2 months later I decide to add it back again... I have to either create an ENTIRE NEW product for this SAME EXACT ITEM, including RE-WRITING that HUGE detailed product description!, or I scroll and scroll down, way down, to the end of my HUGE list of ZZ- products- THEN I have to make sure I change alllll of the Alt Text, URL, everything- from the ZZ-OOS-Paisley-Pop back to it's original form.
This is seriously wasting HOURS upon HOURS of my time ya'll! It's beyond ridiculous! And it's such an easy fix for Shopify! C'mon already! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!?!!?!
- ALSO- I use the Shopify iOS App for practically everything... Mainly to add new products, since 99% of my photos are right there on my phone/file app. Why can't Shopify let us change EVERYTHING right there, within the app? Like the URL??

I’m having the same issue! I’ve also noticed it’s happened to me personally, while shopping other sites. I choose the “Pay now with PayPal” option and it spits me round and round, entering and re-entering my card info, which if I’m paying via PayPal why won’t it just deduct from my PayPal account?! Very frustrating. I have actually left my own abandoned carts while shopping, so I’m betting us Shopify store owners are also losing ALOT of business over this major glitch!
Hopefully SOMEBODY- either Shopify or PayPal can fix the issue- quick!
I’ve too notice a pretty sharp dip in sales over the past couple of weeks. Wondering if it has something to do with this?!

**WARNING!! Whatever you do- do NOT change your password on FB!! It happened to me, and when I reset my password, it disconnected not only my FB account from my Shopify store, but also the Messenger app.
Apparently FB had a security breech and leaked 87Million FB users information. So.... FB basically locked me out of my own account, made me recreate a new password, and will not let me sign back in to messenger with my store! Error button says “Messenger is not accepting any new stores at this time. We will send you an email when we decide to accept new stores”.
THANKS FACEBOOK & Jerk-o Zuckerberg!!! Ugh. So frustrating... this whole thing is making my biz lose major $$! What REALLY burns me up mad is looking at my financials and alllllll of the INSANE amount of money I’ve paid FB over the past 3 years for advertising. Ugh. They will take, take, take our $$ so fast, but give us a quick, swift kick in the bum at the same time.
Just wanted to warn you all, in case you happen to get a “notice” from FB asking you to change your password. DONT DO IT!

I need some advice please... I have THE customer from HELL right now... She placed an order from my store 1/17/18. I packed and shipped it to her, in less than 24 hrs of receiving her order, via usps Priority.
Didnt hear anything from her for weeks, then she started sending rude emails demanding me to do something about her late package. No matter how nice I was back to her, she wasn’t budging from her growling stance. Apparently she thinks I have some sort of “magical powers” and can make the US Postal System do what I tell them to do!
Anyway- her package is tied up/lost somewhere in between her and me, still. I’ve submitted a lost package ticket on usps.com and haven’t heard anything back, which she’s the one who purchased items from me- she’s the one with the tracking number. Isn’t it her responsibility to track her own stuff?
Well, since my “powers” didn’t make her package arrive on her porch, she did the ultimate... she has reported me to the BBB! I got a complaint letter in the mail 2 days ago, and yesterday received a chargeback on my account!! $150!!! How is this fair?? Not only am I out inventory $ for her HUGE ORDER she placed, but now a double whammy with the FULL ORDER AMOUNT + extra fines!! I did nothing but provide her with as much help as I possibly could, and now I’m being penalized for what?? Doing my job & fulfilling orders? I have a HUGE customer base, I ship out approx 20-50 packages daily. This is the first time anyone has done something like this!
What can I do here?? After reading Shopify’s FAQ, it seems like there’s not much I CAN do!! Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I'm also needing a low cost leggings printer/designer/manufacturer! I've had my online leggings boutique since 11/2016 and have grossed over $175k! I'm at a crossroads now- I carry ALLL of the inventory in my home- I'm literally drowning in it. But I QC each and every pair, have a 5* review status on every social media platform, a FB group of 9k ACTIVE members, and the list goes on.
The problem- it's just little ol' ME- doing all of THIS, ALONE! I've been purchasing leggings from multiple distributors, which now I'm having the major problem of the legging market being completely saturated. It's become ridiculous actually. Every time I login to FB, there's 10 more Leggings gals selling my same prints. (One of them even went as far and scammed people saying she's a "Sales Rep" for MY brand! She is being very ugly about the deal, bashing my brand all over social media. So I HAVE to do something now. Either get out while I'm ahead, or find a manufacturer I can work with to design MY OWN prints!! Btw- I am TM. So that chick may be in some hot water if I decide to take her to court. Ugh.
Should I look into dropshipping? I've just recently added TOPS and TUNICS to my collection, so I'm starting to think outside the leggings box! Lol!
