Maybe I can help you with BULK images. My site has over 8900 items online with images. The best way i uploaded with shopify was to copy the images to a cloud-server or a free image hosting and do a link to the image in the database. When you upload the database to shopify, it will automatically download the images from your cloud-server or hosting outside source. Remember it is way better to name the images as item#.jpg rather then actual names. Which can become confusing.

Well let me be the first moron customer to say goodbye to Shopify / App-ify. I lost a $800.00 sale because I couldn't edit an order that a customer was trying to do from my site. After the customer got frustrated with ordering online, she called me to place an order over the phone, only to find out we can't do phone orders through shopify's admin panel. I'm about to move my site to Bigcommerce, they let you edit orders, do back orders, line edit items, PHONE ORDERS, custom orders for products you don't even have in your store, change prices while on phone. Partial refunds. I could go on forever!! wait did i mention BACK ORDERS?. Same value as shopify $39.00 unlimited products. real-time shipping prices and waaay more options. I started my shopify business in September 2013 I have a warehouse with 9000 products. I uploaded my database to my admin panel to try and sort my items into the categories i created. As of Jan 22nd 2014 i'm still sorting products. With BC Customers can buy Gift certificates, Gift Registry, Wish List, Share wishlist. They can even ship one big order to many different addresses without doing many different orders. they will also get billed in one invoice with different shipping charges per-addressees, Now that helps the average Christmas shopper. http://afrogiftsnstuff.mybigcommerce.com/ ; I uploaded the same database into BC on Jan 20th, 2013 as of today Jan 22nd I only have 3,000 products to sort from there BULK-Product edit/update feature. I believe by Friday I will be complete with the products and will just leave shopify altogether. Maybe you should to...........
