I'm having the exact same issue.  Complete crickets after following their specific steps.  This is incredibly frustrating.

Did you happen to find any way to fix this issue?  I have the same problem. Everything is being sent to Google with Identifier Exists "true" when it should be "false", but can't seem to figure out how to change it within Shopify.
