The way I did it was to add the metafield as an inline color on the div rather than in the css. It worked a treat.

I have variant metafields displayed on my product page but I need them to change to display only the text that refers to the currently selected variant. Could anybody help?
Is it possible to have a collections metafield (image) show next to the link for that collection in the man navigation? I can get the metafield to show but it isnt showing the specific metafield for the link it associated with.  
I am trying to style a div with css but by using metafield data.. example below: .top-bar { background-color: {{ product.metafields.my_fields.colour.value }}important; } Sadly this isnt working, it works if I use inline styles in the main product....
My guess you will either set a product as non physical or it was restricted in the shipping territory set up.
@hasanarmstrong my namespace and key is my_fields.related_product_one I have tried add the code you gave but nothing shows.
I have created a related product with the new Shopify 2.0 metafields. My question is how do I add/print these related products on my product page? Thanks in advance.

You would need to edit the css to something like: .featured-product .grid__item.product__media-wrapper { width: 35%; } You may need to alter it for the breakpoints.
Are you wanting the image to be less than 50% width?
