Creating a dynamic list from Klaviyo to Shopify - API help

Hi there,

We use a Klaviyo pop up form to allow customers to become a member. When you become a member you receive free shipping with every order. At the moment it's just set up as entering a Shopify discount code to receive the free shipping but this is a rubbish customer experience and I want it to be automatically applied. 

The ideal scenario is that we have a segment in Shopify that are identified as members and with this list they have a discount code applied to always receive free shipping so whenever they get to checkout it doesn't show. 

I have Klaviyo and Shopify integrated but it seems bizarre to me that I can't create a dynamic list within Shopify of people who are in a specific list in Klaviyo. When speaking with Shopify support they mentioned I could export this list into Shopify but I want it to be automated and assume this would be done via an API but I'm not sure on how to set that up.

From your description, it sounds like you'll want to work with the Order Discount Function API. There's a great tutorial on our dev docs that walks through a similar type of discount as you've described.
