Run a PHP script after a sale

Hi,

I am new to Shopify. We like to setup a store than sells assessments. After the sale a PHP script needs to run to create the assessment account and invite the participant. Where do I start with building something like that and is such a function available in the basic subscription of Shopify?

Not sure whether you have sorted this, but worth putting a starting point to a solution here nevertheless.

I have used Flow for this, which is great because you can send all kinds of data across when you hit the script.
