We're reaching out to re-iterate a long standing issue.
Namely, updating a variant metafield with the API does NOT trigger and products/update webhook.
Given that some important changes are being made to the product API (to support thousands of variants), could you please revisit this issue?
This is frustrating merchants that use our app, because we cannot reliably sync the variant metafields with our app.
Note that this bug only affects variants metafields.
Updating any other metafields, such as product, order, customer, always correctly fires a webhook.
