I need to know when a staff user makes changes to a product’s info and inventory, and which staff user did it.
The usual webhook requests and API responses don’t seem to return this. I noticed that the internal API that Shopify Admin returns this data. Am I missing something? This is crucial for auditing and loss prevention purposes. Is there any to get this data?
Hey @munich - you're correct that events related to user who initiated product inventory changes can be returned internally by Shopify via the Admin. That said, the endpoints for this functionality aren't public at the moment, but I do get where you're coming from. I'm going to put through a feature request on your behalf. I can't guarantee anything in terms of if/when this might be implemented, but you do bring up a really good point from a loss prevention/audit perspective.
Thanks again - I'll send that report to our product team as soon as possible on our end.

I have a customer with a similar need. Is there any update or progress on this request, or perhaps any alternative methods to be able to have an admin audit log?
