How to set up a Wholesale Store for Retailers who wish to drop ship.

Hi everyone!


We are a leather accessories brand called Outback. We are based in New Delhi, India. We have been receiving a lot of enquiries from retailers who wish to drop ship our products to their customers. We are using Shopify Gold/ Plus, so we have the wholesale channel. We require a solution wherein the retailers are able to checkout on discounted rates and put in addresses of their customers so that the shipping rates get populated accordingly. We are not able to do this using the Wholesale Channel. Is there a solution or an app for this? I'm sure we're not the first company to be facing this problem. Is anyone doing this successfully. Thanks in advance.

With ShipperHQ, you can manage shipping rates from multiple warehouses or dropship vendors. You can automate which origin certain products are shipped from, based on the fewest number of origins, origin nearest to a customer or zone restrictions for a given location.

Still have not been able to find a viable solution. Here's the process:

1. Dropship retailer visits our website.

2. Selects the products at discounted rates.

3. Each product is to be shipped to a different customer. So, he needs to be able to add customer's name and address and select shipping rates accordingly. 

4. Finally, he should be able to checkout by making a consolidated single payment for all orders.

Is there a way to be able to make this work?

This is something I have been asked to do for a couple companies and clients. We have built out a couple of versions and iterations based on the varying brands needs and requirements. integrations. 

However, since Carro came out, that is really the best route to establish brand partnerships, and even identify current relationships to your company that are influencers(Scans your current customers, current followers and email list subscribers to show what is right under your nose.)

This saved us the development cost of using a paid software and or development time to build a custom app, and or configuration to support wholesale pricing and drop shipping parters on Shopify.

Using Carro as a Supplier makes it much easier to establish partnerships, as you are a brand adding your product to their site, does not need to take on any upfront cost, nor any upfront inventory. They get approved(auto or manually), the product flows into their Shopify Admin and then they can add it anywhere on their website. Similarly, this is really amazing as a typical buyer would be cautious to take on only a few product SKUs and in this case there is really nothing to loose by adding a full brands product line. From a supplier standpoint you instantly have an increased distribution and validation, and as a seller you have a much larger product catalog with no upfront cost or inventory buying. It is definitely worth considering Carro before putting in development time to wholesale interface on your shopify website.
