Hi @baffaro! Gabby here from the Community Engagement team at Spocket.
If this is in relation to the coronavirus, then yes, it is. According to the WHO and CDC, the virus can't survive on objects.
In a general sense, yes it's possible to ship items from China to either the US or the EU via AliExpress, but you might want to consider shipping times. Being that the products come from China, shipping might take some time. If you're shipping to mainly EU and US customers, why not find suppliers who're based in these regions for faster shipping? Apps like Spocket can make this possible - the platform gives you access to thousands of suppliers who are mainly EU-based or US-based, who can offer quality items and fast shipping. Items on Spocket can ship in as fast as 1-3 days, 3-5 days, or 4-7 days.
If you're interested to learn more about the app and what it can offer you and your store, you can visit Spocket's official website.
1. Yes, of course. It's still good t send packages from China to the USA. Please don't worry about this. You may refer to the latest clarification of WHO that packages from China are not at risk of contracting Coronaviruses since the virus does not survive long on objects (link available at https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1223532656778010624?s=19). Please rest assured of the safety of the packages.
2. Yes, according to the law of American states, for orders shipped to below states are subject to sales tax, including states tax and country/city sales tax. Aliexpress is required by law to collect sales tax and remit to these the relevant local tax authorities.
Hi @baffaro ,
Yes, it is still good to transport goods from China to USA.
However, because of the COVID-19, the flights(for small packages) to usa or other countries has been reduced a lot. Thus there are some changes of freight and duration.
Yes, there are many Chinese suppliers for your options like AliExpress, CJDropshipping, Banggood, Alibaba, DHgate, etc.
ShopMaster supports those suppliers so you can import products from those suppliers to your Shopify stores within a few clicks.
No, it’s horrible in regards to delivery times. We had customers receive items 60 days later. COVID has killed dropshipping from China to the US. Anyone that says otherwise just wants you to order their products and have unhappy customers. Don’t waste your time.
@baffaro Of course it is still good to partner with dropshipping company in china. May I ask what is your niche? Maybe we can help you out.
