10 minutes countdown timer after add to cart - Sense theme

Hi to everybody!

I want to create this in my shopify website:

When somebody add a one special product to the cart, I want that they will see a 10 minutes countdown timer, in the notification cart (here)

And in the cart and in the checkout process.

After they add to the cart this product, if they proceed to the checkout before this 10 minutes timer they will see automatically another free product added to their cart and in the order, if they wait or they don’t buy they will lose this opportunity and, this free product will be changed with the same product but at 9,99$.

My problem is this, how i can create this timer to works like that? So also if they recharge the page or basically if they change page from product page to checkout page it has to continue to the end and they should see it going to zero. Everything should start from the add to cart event, and if the timer is still running before they confirm the order they will get this product, if not they will see an advise and the product will not be free anymore but it will be changed to another product of like 9,99$.

Are you looking for timer code or full functionality??

To run full functionality, you have make an app who will do this for you, but this flow has a issue too.

Let me know your thoughts…

Hi @gr_trading ,

For the rimer code I’ve found a lot of versions and they work. My main problem is that this timer should run “inside” the website, and i don’t know how to do it. It should start once you add the product to the cart, and then also if you continue to navigate in the website or if you close the browser is still running in your session.
