in april of 2026 my shopify payments account was placed on hold, i was specifically told in an email that august 29th of 2026 (120 days) that my payouts would be deposited into my account, since we are now in the month of my told release date, i paid the bill for my store to have it re opened, a day or so later, a random store review gets placed on my account, and the date now says 2027, after waiting 120 days, they now want me to wait an entire year. i reached out to shopify support getting mixed answers from agents, some told me the august 29th payout was still in affect no matter the result of my appeal (which was denied) because it was tied to shopify payments and not my store restriction, and some others told me since the appeal was denied the new date is april of 2027. it feels like im running around looking for a straight answer, and this is absurd!
Hi @rell1 Welcome To Shopify Community That inconsistency between agents is the real problem here ā a payout hold tied to Shopify Payments risk review and a store restriction appeal are two separate processes, and it sounds like your case is getting tangled between the two. Iād ask support to escalate this specifically to the Shopify Payments risk team (not general support) and request written confirmation of which policy actually applies to your account, since verbal/chat answers are clearly conflicting. Also ask them to point to the specific clause in your merchant agreement that justifies extending a 120-day hold to a full year, that kind of request usually forces a clearer answer.
Sounds legit, even if it seems unfair. Shopify has extensive terms of service. 365 days is typically what they hold for termination.
If your 120 day hold is now showing as a 365 day hold it usually means the platform has updated its review or security policy after detecting unusual activity or requiring additional verification. Before making any changes check the official notification and follow the required steps. While waiting you can enjoy your favorite movies and TV shows on BeeTV which offers a smooth streaming experience with a simple and easy to use interface.
Hi there @rell1
That sounds like a huge pain, especially after being given mixed messages about when payouts would be made. If you still have the first email with the release date August 29, 2026, hold onto that along with any recent review notices and compare the language carefully. Payment reserve schedules and account review schedules may at times be disstinct time periods. If your admin has updated payout info and you are waiting on that, keep an eye on that as well as your original message so you have a clear trail just in case the status changes.
