2.0 Themes - "Select an Option" as default in drop down

Topic summary

Updates: Another participant asks if a solution was found and notes ongoing problems with default selections, delaying their move to a 2.0 theme.

Outcome: No solution or implementation steps were provided in the thread. No decisions or actions recorded.

Status: Unresolved and open; key need is a method/workaround for a placeholder default in 2.0 theme variant selectors.

Hi everyone!

I would like the drop down to show “Select an Option” instead of the first variant to make sure they go through the options. I’ve seen the tutorial on how to implement the “Select an Option” as default in drop down for vintage themes, but can’t find any information regarding the new 2.0 themes.

Has anybody been able to add this to their store?

Thank you

Hi,

Did you ever find a solution for this? I’ve been looking as well, as we have lots of problems with default selections, so we haven’t transitioned to a 2.0 Theme yet.
