2 New pages created and they redirect to the other

I created a 2 new pages within my horizon theme and they are linked to the correct spot but they just direct back to the first page I created. I created an about me page and a hire me page and the hire me just directs to the about me. I’ve Googled and nothing works that I find in your community or it’s outdated and some suggestions aren’t even options in my account. This seems to have been an issue for years, why is this not fixed?!

First, it would be helpful if you could share a link to your store and those pages.
Without it, it is more guessing from our side. But let me try: have you created About US and Hire Me pages from same template? You can check that in admin when you edit your page on the right side. Maybe it is the default, or both have the about-us template?
Usually, you want separate templates, so you can have different sections and content.

Another possibility is that there is some issue with page redirects.

I’d look at the url redirects in the top right corner of the Menus tab in Admin.

This is very obviously a redirect issue.

First check the redirects from your Shopify admin page, and check for the links causing issues.

Alternatively, I also suggest using a Redirect app to prevent this from happening in the future. You might several 404 pages without realizing it and this could even be leading to lost sales.

I recommend using Nabu Fast 301 & 404 Redirects. It automatically alerts you each time a potential customer lands on a 404 page, and you can immediately rectify with this by applying a 301 redirect.

Beyond this, the app allows wildcard redirects from other domains outside Shopify as well. It’s completely free by the way.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing a redirection issue with your Shopify store. Could you please share your store URL? If it’s password-protected, kindly provide the storefront password as well. You can find this under Online Store > Preferences.

Sorry I was unable to respond to any of these until now. I got the issue fixed. I can’t recall what I did now but it’s fixed!
