2 URLs for my website

Topic summary

A website owner is experiencing duplicate URLs appearing in Google search results: one for the main domain and another for a products page.

They attempted to modify the Dawn theme code by locating <a href="{{ product.url | within: collection }}"> to change it to <a href="{{ product.url }}">, but couldn’t find this code in any theme files.

Suggested solutions:

  • The duplicate listing may be caused by structured data configuration, with both URLs potentially pointing to the same store
  • Recommended to consult with recent developers/technicians who modified the site
  • Check the URL in Google Search Console to verify if it’s indexed
  • Consider adding no-index code from the store backend to remove the duplicate from search results

The issue remains unresolved and requires further technical investigation.

Hello @Shahida

After carefully checking your shared screenshot related two search results,I suspect the second one refers to structured data you set up before and both of them refer to same store.

I suggest you here double check with technicians or developers who edited your store recently and see if it is the cause code. If not, double check related page URL in Google Search Console and see if it is indexed, then add no-index code from store back-end to make it disappear from search results on Google, a kind reminder here. Thank you!
