Why is my website not getting ANY SALES at all ?
I know its not easy to get sales but after improving site speed, product additions, social media marketing, now trying some Klaviyo marketing.
A Shopify store owner is receiving 3,000 monthly visitors but generating zero sales despite efforts to improve site speed, add products, and implement social media and email marketing.
Key Issues Identified:
Lack of focus: The store sells everything from underwear to cat food, making it unclear who the target customer is. Contributors recommend niching down rather than operating like a general marketplace.
Incomplete/unprofessional elements: Multiple pages contain placeholder text (“About Your Brand”), empty testimonial sections, buttons labeled “optional button”, and Chinese characters on an English site. These details undermine trust.
Missing trust signals: No customer service phone number, physical address, About Us page, chatbox, favicon, or customer reviews initially present. No clear human element to distinguish from scam sites.
SEO/technical problems: Overly long meta descriptions, messy URLs with tracking parameters, cluttered navigation menus.
Traffic quality concerns: With a typical 1% conversion rate for clothing stores, 3,000 visitors should yield ~30 orders. The lack of sales suggests traffic may not match the target audience.
Actions Taken:
The owner has added a favicon, shortened meta descriptions, added customer reviews and brand information to product pages, fixed URL tracking issues, and plans to implement discounts.
Additional Recommendations:
Status: Ongoing optimization with no resolution yet.

There exist lots of factors which will prevent you from getting sales, I would like to share you here some advice based on store SEO, and you can optimize page contents gradually to have better performance in search results and result in a better sale.
If possible, kindly consider an SEO Check on your store to know more details about what you can correct and optimize on the store. More features will be released by using JAS40%OFF and you will pay off eventually after a careful optimization totally.
The way you format your product titles cured my years of astigmatism. Just kidding ;)
you’re getting around 3,000 visitors a month. With an average conversion rate of 1% for clothing stores, you should be getting at least 30 orders. But since you’re not, here are a few things you might want to check:
1. Are you attracting the right kind of traffic?
You already have traffic, which is great — but are these people actually your target customers?
Is your traffic from ads or organic search? Either way, if the wrong audience is landing on your site, they won’t buy.
To be honest, I looked at your site and couldn’t tell who you’re selling to. You’ve got everything from underwear to cat food — I legit thought I was on Walmart. Unless you have a Walmart-sized ad budget, it’s probably better to niche down.
2. Can people actually place an order?
Have you tried checking out on your own site? Sometimes stuff breaks and you don’t notice.
For example, I’ve seen stores where shipping was set to Australia only, and most of the traffic was from the U.S. — those users couldn’t even choose their country at checkout.
3. Make your site look more legit
Don’t leave half-finished pages live. Like this one:
https://www.elanique.shop/products/1-10pcs-bio-collagen-face-mask-shrink-pores-deep-hydrating-overnight-mask-moisturizing-refreshing-brightening-face-skin-care-1
The “About Your Brand” section is empty and still has the placeholder image. Stuff like that makes people bounce right away — it just doesn’t build trust.
Details make a difference and a lack of details or completeness give an underlying feeling to a customer that something isn’t right with this company.
For example…on this page: https://www.elanique.shop/collections/so-do-you-like-some-of-these-womens-swimwear/products/swimming-suit-for-women-europe-and-america-swimsuit-female-sexy-three-point-style-three-piece-suit-split-body-bikini-swimwear
Scroll towards the bottom and there are areas that were never completed such as the “about your brand” and “testimonials” that still have the Shopify filler info as well as other areas that are not complete. I found this by clicking on one link from your main menu so I doubt this is the only page with these issues.
Also, I would clean up all of your categories in the main menu…looks too cluttered.
There are also products with Chinese language characters that shouldn’t be on an English website.
Furthermore…there are buttons that have the text “optional button” again…incomplete website details.
In addition, there is no customer service phone number. There is no “about us” that tells a potential customer about your company or lists a physical address or anything to instill confidence that this is not a scam website. There are no pictures of your facility, employees or anything to give a human touch that this is a real business. There is no chatbox for customer questions and there is nothing to give a potential customer confidence that your website is not a scam site that is just out to take money and not ship the product. Unfortunately, due the proliferation of scam websites that do just that…legitimate websites need to jump a few hurdles to give customers confidence that they aren’t going to get ripped off. Not having a phone number, address or chat box does not instill this confidence.

Hey there @elaniqueshop here are some suggestions on how your store could be improved.
You should have sections for best sellers and latest arrivals on the homepage.
You should add a FAQs page to provide answers to questions that customers would likely have when visiting your store- it shows a level of consideration
Consider adding a few short videos to the product gallery to make your products appear even more appealing to potential customers.
Hi,
Context on home page means ? What is it ?
Thank you. I will do the things you suggested.
Adding short videos to the product gallery could end up with too many videos in product pages ?
Won’t it slow down the website ?
Or did you mean something else ?
Putting in the efforts, still not getting the results you want, is disappointing, but first, you need to understand the exact problems of your store.
Traffic Quality
As you have told, you are getting 3000 visitors in a month, which is a good sign for high traffic, but you need to understand where the traffic is actually coming from. Are the visitors genuinely interested in your products?. Analyze the traffic of the store by using Shopify analytics, and if a high bounce rate is there, that will indicate irrelevant traffic.
Lack of Trust
I have reviewed your store, and you have not added any customer reviews or testimonials. Customer reviews build trust among new customers to make a purchase.
Also, try to add a clear return policy for products in the store so that users do not get any confusion regarding the same.
The “About Your Brand” section is empty and still has the placeholder image. Stuff like that makes people bounce right away — it just doesn’t build trust.
Offers and Discounts
Give some regular offers on the products like Black Friday sale or summer sale, this will enhance the user engagement to buy the product.
Thank you for the insights.
I have added About brand and customer reviews at the bottom of the product page.
Refund policy in the footer of home page has detailed info on returns and refunds.
I will work on discounts.
Men’s casual shoes URL is what I find when searching your website on Google and here is the URL attached meanwhile for your reference:
Apart from optimizing what you mentioned here in the reply, you should also focus on the detection result in Google Search Console, so that you can get more customers’ attention, as most customers prefer unique and user-friendly pages while viewing. It is better to update page contents steadily and pay more attention to the search appearance on Google.
Thank you.
I turned off auto tagging in google merchant center to fix srsltid in url.
It’s happy to know that you have fixed the ID issue in URL by turning off the auto tagging in Google Merchant Center, and I believe it will make page URL cleaner. Keep up the good work so far, and please regularly monitor your store status to optimize accordingly.
Hi @elaniqueshop Yes, you can definitely try offering discounts.
If it even did not work. Let me know via direct message.
Hi,
Others have already shared some solid advice, but I’d like to add a few more suggestions that could really help:
Google Analytics 4 & Hotjar – Use these tools to see where visitors are dropping off. This insight is crucial for identifying friction points in your store.
User Testing – Ask relatives or trusted testers to review your site. Honest, outside feedback can often reveal issues you might miss yourself.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) – As more people begin using AI chatbots to search for products instead of traditional search engines, make sure your store is optimized for these platforms. This can help you stay ahead of the curve and reach more potential customers.
Hope this helps!
