Hi Shopify community,

I’m Björn from MelizaFashion. Our new Shopify store hasn’t made any sales yet and i dont see why.

Any tips or advice? We’ve tried a bunch of stuff, but we’re open to ideas.

Thanks a bunch!

First of all, nice website, complimentary to your product. Amazed you are not selling anything.

You can try few things :

  1. See how many people reached checkout and what is your abandoned cart percentage? You must have captured there phone number, ring em and ask them politely, what went wrong.

  2. I believe your size chart is placed at the bottom, change it’s position to near size selection. A very big hurdle when it comes to online sales.

  3. From where are you getting traffic, it matters a lot.

Hoping it will help you.

Do let me know if anything works.

Hi Aatirk,

the abonded cart percentage is 0.58% and 21 customers reached checkout. But i also did many test so 80% of them could be mine. Great ideas, thankyou! We runned ads worth 450$ on Meta & Pinterest. Pinterest didn’t work at all and Meta gave us like 2000 visitors. We will start running ads on Tiktok within a couple of days.

Really appreciate your input!

One thing I can add is you might need to improve your shipping policy - it appears generic. For example,

  • “We ship our products domestically within [country name] as well as internationally to several countries.” fix “country name”.
  • “The shipping cost for your order will be calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the package.” It appears you are offering free shipping. Clearly mention you are offering free shipping since this statement in your policy might not show the correct message.

Overall, you website looks great. With more focus on marketing, you should be able to sale.

Hi @Melizafashion

I’m Garcia, a CRO expert at PageFly, and I’ve identified a few areas where you can optimize your store for better conversions. These are simple changes that can have a significant impact on your bottom line.

1. Optimize the Hero Banner CTA:

  • Increase visibility: The current hero banner CTA blends in with the background. Use a contrasting color, like a vibrant button against a softer background, to make it stand out and grab attention.
  • Strengthen the call to action: Replace “Click Here” with a more specific and compelling action phrase like “Shop Now,” “Explore Our Collection,” or “Discover More.”

2. Enhance Text Readability:

Add background opacity: Overlay a subtle opacity on sections with text and background images. This ensures the text remains readable without compromising the visual appeal.

3. Enrich the Homepage Experience:

While the homepage layout is visually appealing, it could benefit from additional sections to showcase your value proposition and guide visitors. Consider adding:

  • Showcase customer testimonials: Building trust and social proof with testimonials can significantly increase conversion rates.
  • Highlight key benefits: Use a dedicated section to succinctly list your store’s unique selling points and value proposition.
  • Feature product highlights: Dedicate a section to showcasing your most popular or new products with compelling visuals and concise descriptions.

4. Elevate the Instagram Feed:

Use high-quality images: Ensure your Instagram feed showcases stunning product shots or customer photos to pique interest and encourage engagement.

5. Improve Size Chart Accessibility:

Instead of hiding it, make the size chart easily accessible within the product page description or as a dedicated tab. Consider a table format for easier navigation.

6. Prepare for holiday season

As hearts start racing and shops gear up for Valentine’s Day, grab a competitive edge with these expert insights:

  • Hype It Up with Countdowns: Pump up the energy for your Valentine’s Day sales with countdown timers. Perfect for limited-time offers, special events, or showcasing limited product availability, these ticking clocks create a sense of urgency and drive conversions.
  • Make Every Click Count with Smart Recommendations: Turn casual browsing into irresistible bundles on individual product pages. If someone is eyeing a camera, suggest a tempting package with a bag, extra lenses, and a tripod. These curated sets boost average order value and make shopping a breeze for busy lovebirds.
  • Dress Your Site in Cupid’s Colors: Embrace the season with a dash of romance! Infuse your website with Valentine’s Day hues like red, pink, and white. Check out Color hex for beautiful color palettes that capture the holiday spirit and complement your brand.

Hope it helps!
