A big bug on deactivating/deleting your Shopify account

Been trying to deactivate/delete my account for the past week. It tells me to contact support everytime i try to do deactivate/delete.

When i try to contact support it tells me to follow some steps and film username and email before continuing which i have already done.

So the issue is I cant deactivate/delete before contacting Shopify Support and I can’t contact Shopify support without reason.

If I knew Shopfiy was this hard to deactivate/delete once you had created an account i’d never had joined and never ever recommended it to anybody. This is a massive problem.

i have been following every single step from what i’ve read. Nothing can do it. This is litterally mad an illegal.

shopify crew must contact me as soon as possible.

It is definitely frustrating to hear you can’t deactivate. Generally speaking, you don’t need to contact support to deactivate.

That being said, you should have no problem accessing our live chat via the Help Center. Can you provide a screenshot of what happens when you attempt to login and speak to an advisor? Simply typing “advisor” into the chat bot should direct you to assistance.

Unfortunately your image didn’t upload. I see it’s a PNG, I’d recommend uploading a JPG.

No, nothing displayed. When you paste an image into the text you should see the preview as well. If you don’t, then we won’t be able to see it either.
