A header link takes customer to a Shopify sign in page / looks like an admin page

Topic summary

Header navigation issue: the “Outerwear” link in the top menu redirected to a Shopify admin/sign-in page, while the lower-page “Outerwear” link worked correctly.

Investigation guidance: verify the navigation settings (Shopify menus/linklists) to ensure the link points to the correct collection URL rather than an admin or incorrect address.

Action taken: the menu entry was checked in the navigation settings and found to have the wrong URL.

Outcome: URL corrected; the header link now routes to the proper collection page. Issue resolved.

Open questions: cause of the incorrect URL remains unknown; no further steps requested.

From the consumer stand point - At the top of my page, there are links for the diff Collections. All but one work as they should. The Collection “Outerwear” takes to an admin/Collections info page. When you click the “Outerwear” collection from further down on the page - it takes them to the correct destination..so it’s just the top Header link. I can’t figure out where/how to asses the path problem. Anyone know?

Can you share the url? If not I’d start by looking at what is driving that list in the first place. Check the menus (linklists) you’ve created on the shop and double check that they’ve not been added with the wrong url.

Hey Jason, thanks for popping in..I appreciate it!

The site URL? www.embellishedwhimzy.com - The OUTERWEAR link in the top Header block is the one in question.

WHOO HOO! I found the place you described & it DID have the wrong address. How in the world does that happen?! It works now as it should, thanks so much!!!
