Abandoned cart automation when not using customer accounts

Hi,

I hope this board is okay - I’m new to this.

My store is not using customer accounts, I let them use phone or email.

I set up automations for ‘Abandoned Cart’ and ‘Abandoned Checkout’, but I can understand how cart would work. My reasoning is, that as customer accounts are turned off, and customers only enter their email (or phone #), at the checkout stage, if they are only at the Cart stage, and the Abandoned Cart workflow is triggered, how would the system know where to send an email??

Very confused, appreciate any help.

If I’m not mistaken the only time an email would be sent if your cart is abandoned is if your customers already have an account. Therefore if you disable customer accounts then the email would not be sent.
