Notes placed on abandoned checkouts are disappearing?
Are they being deleted by another user? Are they deleted when a customer views the cart or makes changes to it?
Is there a log on the ADMIN side that can see what is happening?

To clarify, are you looking at the additional details section within the abandoned checkouts in your Shopify admin? You can find these by logging in to your admin, clicking on ‘Orders > Abandoned checkouts’, and then selecting a specific abandoned checkout.
If this is the section you were referring to, can you please confirm if these notes are disappearing after you’ve saved them? Or, are you trying to add notes that won’t appear on your abandoned checkouts at all?
In most cases, once you’ve added a note to an abandoned checkout, the note will be saved in the ‘Additional details’ section of the abandoned checkout and will look similar to this:
However, once you visit the ‘Orders > Abandoned checkouts’ section of your admin and view your entire list of abandoned checkouts, you can also mouse over this icon to see your note:

I have the same issue. I make a note and it disappears after i click on it.
