About the disconect GMC account from Shopify's advanced GMC account

We operate a brand shopify site for USmarket. The domain name is XXX.com, because we want to expand our market to Canada, we built a new shopify site ca.XXX.com for Canadian market. But when I register google merchant center, it says that “The URL is unavailable for claiming because another merchant center account has already claimed this URL at a higher level” I contact google technology team, it says that I should disconnect the GMC account from shopify’s GMC advanced account. How can I deal with this while don’t affect my Shopify and my google ads.

Please advise, if necessary we need to hire an expert

You need to register the top level domain in your original account, then you can add both top level domain and subdomain in 1 account.

If you wan to manage using multiple domains, then you need to claim www.xyz.com in one acoutn and ca.xyz.com in another.

If you are using 1 shopify account, you will also need to use an advanced data feed app that allows you to use native currency and URL’s, which the default free app does not support.
