We retailers need a solution from Shopify Plus for a common retail situation they are avoiding providing a solution for.
We accept vouchers from companies promising to pay up to a certain amount, say $150 for their employee to come in and but a pair of workboots.
On the register, our employee needs to be able to apply that voucher amount to the sale, giving the difference to be paid by the employee who then completes the sale and signs for the boots.
The voucher amount needs to be billed to the company.
Setting up an alternate payment method is not acceptable if it marks it as paid. This does not allow us to invoice.
Draft orders are not acceptable in this scenario. The cashier needs to take care of the customer and provide them with a receipt.
3rd party apps do not address this either.
