Add available channels - didn't work

This morning we had 20 new products ready in Shopify that were all set as ‘active’ but not available on any sales channels.

At a set time, I did what I usually do; select the 20 items in a collection and select ‘add available channels…’ and had all sales channels selected, then select “make products available”.

I do this monthly without issue, however, today, on 2 of our Shopify stores, the products were all active and had available channels selected, but they wouldn’t appear on our website. My other team members were looking at products and on their end, the “online store” channel wasn’t selected, however, for me it was. In the end, the only thing that got the products to appear online was to deselect online store, save, then reselect online store and save - then the products appeared on our site.

I thought maybe a theme issue but it happened on 2 stores, and there is a different theme on both. Like I said, we follow this same process every month and never any issue, our 3rd Shopify store worked perfectly and as it should - it was just 2 of our stores that wouldn’t show the pieces that I was trying to make active.

Any ideas on what could have happened? So annoyed and frustrated, spoke to Shopify chat who are looking into it further but already nervous this will happen again. We had 400 people on the site at the set time and lost a lot of them not being able to find the products.

I’m having the same issue

We found an annoying and time consuming way to get the pieces online. Go into the product, go to “available channels” on the right. Untick “online store”, then save the product, go back into "available channels, tick “online store” then save the product again. Doing that on each product 1 by 1 got all the pieces online. Took ages to work this out and get the pieces online. Very frustrating. Nothing back from Shopify support yet.
