Add "newest to oldest" sort option only on search page

Hi all, in our theme there is sort option “newest to oldest” only on collection page. we would like to add that sort option for the search results on search page too, anyone can help?

This can be done using Custom code.

Currently, search only supports 3 options for sort: relevance, price-ascending, and price-descending. Refer link

Therefore, you cannot customize this with code.
