Add Pre-Order option to DAWN Theme

Dear all,

I have looked at previous thread outlining how to change the main product liquid file to do this on here:
https://community.shopify.com/post/2776760

However, for whatever reason I cannot find the “Add to Cart” section in my product liquid file.

Can anyone advise please?

Hi @DB19 ,

  • Go to Online Store > Themes.
  • Click Actions > Edit Code.
  • In the left-hand panel, look for the Snippets folder.
  • Find the file named buy-button.liquid and open it.

Thank you very much! I found it! How do I edit it in order to “activate” the Pre-Order Button?

If this will apply to ALL products just edit the wording:

:bomb: Always backup themes before modifying files.

Otherwise it’s customizing in buy-buttons.liquid snippet, or other advanced theme customizations.

@DB19 Curious - any reason why you wouldn’t want to use a preorder app to do this?
