Hi everyone,
I want/need to add an option for customers to choose between two simple options during their checkout, preferably as two mutually exclusive radio buttons. The difference is not large enough to warrant creating variations for the product and maintaining all the complexity that comes with that. We basically want a simple yes or no radio button on checkout, but from what I can see when I ask the AI, it says I should be able to add a custom form to the checkout page, but when I go to the checkout page editor, it disallows any editing other than colors.
Can someone help me here?

Basic and Standard Shopify Plans: You can’t edit the checkout page directly. These plans have a fixed layout for the checkout process to ensure security and a streamlined experience for customers. Customization options are limited to adjusting branding elements like colors and logos through the theme settings.
-
Shopify Plus: This plan provides greater flexibility with the Checkout Liquid template. Shopify Plus users can access and modify the checkout page code to create a tailored checkout experience. This includes advanced customizations such as adding custom fields, modifying the layout, and integrating additional scripts or third-party apps.
Summary
In summary, while Basic and Standard Shopify plans restrict checkout page customization to preserve consistency and security, Shopify Plus allows for extensive checkout customization to meet unique business needs.
Hi, I’m having the same issue as the OP…if we have basic Shopify plan and can’t easily edit our checkout page, can we at least edit it in any way through coding? If i hired a Shopify expert, would they be able to adjust anything on checkout or still the same answer due to our play type (basic)?
