Add Store Map in Thank you page

Hi everyone!

I am looking for a way to add map in the Thank you page. This map would be default as our store location. I have seen maps based on the address of the customers, and that is not what I am looking for.

I’ve been searching for answers but I can’t find anything. I am also open for any recommendations that you have in order to achieve our goal.

I hope someone can help. Thank you!

Hello @ligaya,

You can add a store location map on the Shopify Thank You page using a Google Maps embed or Mapbox. This will show your store’s location instead of the customer’s. You’ll need to insert it via the checkout thank_you template using Liquid or custom JS.

Hi there,

You can add a fixed map of your store location to the Thank You page by embedding a static Google Map rather than using customer address–based data. Simply generate the embed code from the Google Maps website and place it in the custom HTML or script section of your Thank You page (if your platform allows it).

If custom edits aren’t available, a plugin or app that supports adding custom content to the Thank You page would be a good alternative.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I am trying to find where should I add it. Is it on the Additional Scripts on the Settings > Checkout?

Do you know any apps we can use? Whenever I am adding customizations in the Thank you page or checkout page, it only allows me to use an app. Shopify already have checkout extensibility and I am not sure where I should add it. Is it on the additional scripts in the Settings > Checkout or somewhere else?

To add a store location map on Shopify Plus:

Copy your store’s embed code from Google Maps.

In Shopify admin → Settings → Checkout → Order Processing → Additional Scripts, paste the code.

Save the changes.

Hi @ligaya, The map preview is a core part of Shopify’s checkout and can’t be modified. However, you can use an alternative approach by adding a banner-style information message using Checkout Boost app. This feature is available on the free plan.

Hope that helps! Best of luck
