Add to cart button error

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using the Tinkle theme along with the Essential Upsell app on my Shopify store. Previously, the “Claim Offer” button from Essential Upsell behaved like the theme’s “Add to Cart” button — it would add the product to the cart without reloading the page.

However, due to some issue, it now forces a full page reload just to add the product to the cart.

Could someone please help me check if there might be a code conflict or JavaScript issue causing this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You need to share a link to your page – it’s impossible to debug otherwise.

Hard to tell exactly, why this happens. Looks like the app does not know how to handle your theme.

Was it working properly for Tinker initially? (Tinker is a very new theme and App may not support it yet)

Did it stop after you’ve uploaded this theme copy? (The app checks agains theme id from the store which is removed for uploaded themes)

Does it work properly for a theme loaded from the theme store?

Also (i guess this is it!), try switching off “Instalments” temporarily and see if it helps (it may interfere with App logic).

Depending on the above, I’d try to reach out to app support – they may have a new code to interact with your theme, or they may know how to tell App what theme you’re using…

Then it’s up to App’s settings where to redirect you…

I tried switching off “Instalments” temporarily and it worked, but I thinh the cart drawer doesnt work perfectly on moblie. can I change the action of add to cart action to open cart page instead of cart drawer?

Yes, in Customizer, tap the cog icon for Theme Settings, go to Cart and switch to Page:

Screenshot is for Horizon, but, being the “brother” of the Tinker, I expect you to have similar.

I mean it auto open the cart page when ATC was clicked. The above setting cannot do it

now there’s a shake after click the second button, very anoying. Please help me check it. I’ll sent you the access code via email if you agree

Yes, set to “Page” rather than “Drawer” and customers will be redirected to the cart page rather then opening drawer.

As for the “shake” – the app removes the offer elements and adds new ones after adding to cart, there is not much we can do…

Probably would not be an issue if redirecting to cart page.
